Andrew was born and raised in Plymouth, Devon a city located in Southern England. He had a love of languages from a young age and received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in French and Portugese from the University of Leeds. 

After moving to NZ approximately 15 years ago, Andrew has worked a number of various roles in retail and warehousing distribution fields. He became a chartered accountant in 1999 and while he has often had rather general management positions, an aptitude for numbers meant that Andrew was given the responsibility of managing company finances. 

When the position of CFO was advertised at Zeald, Andrew jumped at the opportunity. He was impressed by the history of the company and what they had achieved in such a small amount of time. He agreed with vision of the founders, and was attracted by the company culture. Andrew was subsequently hired and has been with Zeald since 2014. He supports the senior management team with financial information and analysis and ensures Zeald remains compliant with financial reporting and tax requirements. In April 2016, Andrew took on the role of GM (general manager) to further assist David, who moved into a chairman position. 

Andrew lives in Murrays Bay with his wife Phillippa, and four kids: Ben, Grace, William and Christian. He enjoys getting out on the water to boat and fish, playing golf, reading sci-fi (Robert Heinlein) and having a curry.

FUN FACT: Andrew loves travelling and has lived in Japan for a couple of years as well as Brazil.
